Fantasy Football - Week 3 Preview

Cairns (Reuters) - The regular season of the Let’s Switch It Up league has gotten off to a rattling start with the defending champions, properly named DEFENDIN CHAMPS – sic? (formerly DEFENDING CHAMPS), leading the way with a 2-0 start. Controversy was abound during the league’s annual draft with numerous technical problems emanating from what some may call an incompetent service provider (name withheld).

This week, the DEFENDIN CHAMPS (must they use all caps?), face the winless BrisVegas Roosters. The CHAMPS will have a depleted squad this week, missing the likes of QB Chad Pennington and WR Eric Moulds while facing a hungry Roosters squad led by the trash talking WR duo of Randy Moss and Keyshawn Johnson. The Roosters had hoped to see their former star RB Ricky Williams return from retirement next season but released the toke smoking superstar, in order to place RB Stephen Davis on their injured reserve list. The Williams saga continues to take twists and turns, as Williams has been sighted numerous times recently in two of owner Shirtliff’s hotspots – Australia and China.

Another interesting matchup this week pits two 1-1 teams against each other – Ayers Rockers and Cairns Taipans. The offseason relocation to the tropical climate of Cairns, Australia, has helped boost the morale of owner Ho’s team. QB Michael Vick says “it’s a definite home advantage to have any mofos come down to this 95F and 100% humidity weather and see them sweat their asses off.” The Rockers were dealt a setback during training camp as player/owner Kristian Borg-Olivier tore his ACL while trying to make a belated comeback, a la Michael Jordan. This could prove to be a big blow to the Rockers who were counting on the infamous KBO to be their 3rd quarterback and starting clipboard holder this year.
