Trump Tower Flames Ignite

A great start to the Trump Tower Flames season thus far with 2 straight convincing victories.

Game 1 vs. Aquadisiac was a close affair through 4 innings before the Flames busted out for 5 runs in the 5th and 6 runs in the 7th to blow the game wide open. The team played great defence culminating in a 17-7 victory. The inaugural member to the Home Run club was Anthony with a moon shot to deep right field.

Game 2 vs. the "individual" team also began slowly for the Flames with a goose egg in the 1st inning (interesting stat: Flames only have been shut out in 3 innings thus far). But the vaunted Flames offense put up 7 runs on the board in the 2nd, 5th and 6th innings to cruise to a 27-10 victory. Great play all around again, especially on the defensive end (Defense wins championships!). Three new members join the HR Club: Derek (reminds me of a weak Joseph Raso HR last year), Mark and Ted O. Anthony also hit his 2nd HR of the year. Sean went 0 for 3 but the numbers don't show 3 hard hit balls and also some good defense by the man they call "Puffy".

Other interesting stats to date: Only one 1-2-3 inning (out of 12) for the Flames offense and the Flames have yet to bat in the 7th inning (being the home team both games with sizeable leads going into the 7th).

Two games, two wins but the schedule just gets tougher from here on. The good team chemistry is encouraging but will it last? Will Teddy E. demand more playing time, or worse yet - hold out?? Is it a matter of time before the Player/Manager/Director of Operations flips out and tosses the Gatorade container onto the field? Stay tuned.
