Flames Suffer 2nd Straight Loss

The Trump Tower Flames suffered another disappointing loss this week, 10-4 to the Angry Huggybears. Missing one of last year's MVP's, Anthony, the Flames offense sputtered. The lone bright spot on the offensive side was a bases clearing double by newcomer Julia Peters, with the bases loaded.

The Flames did lead the game briefly thru 4 innings but quickly gave up the lead shortly afterwards. The Huggybears played solid defence and quelled most of the threats by the Flames.

Mark Raso, still on assignment in Denmark, is expected back by the end of June but can he alone salvage a lacklustre year by the Flames?

Manager Ho will miss this week's game as he is flying down to meet with Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama regarding a shoulder injury. He is listed as day to day.

The Flames face the Izakaya Ra-Men this week and will end the spring season with a doubleheader against the Bat Wings on June 15 to make up for the rain out in week 1.
